I was mesmerized by this
commercial I saw today. It’s amazing how sometimes a blast of color (especially
in 1080i HD) can really catch your eye and hold your attention. The color in
this commercial for Perrier is not its iconic green bottle, but gold… shiny,
shiny gold. Combining an Armageddon/Global-Warming Sci-Fi theme,
and a fearless brunette heroine that reminds me of a French-inspired Wonder Woman in her sleek,
water-droplet-shaped spaceship, this Perrier commercial is far out and… hot!
Embedded is the long-form
version of the ad, which is directed by Johan Renck. (I thought the name
sounded familiar, so I researched his website and realized he directed
Madonna’s Hung Up; Nothing
Really Matters; Kylie Minogue’s Love
at First Sight; and several other
super-stylish projects across genres.) BSo
