“Man of Steel”

For a quick way to catch up with any film trailers, tune into AXS.TV for Nothing But Trailers, a 30-minute program that shows well… you know.

This morning I saw an extended trailer for Man of Steel. Although Christopher Reeve was and will forever be Superman for me, I’m curious to see what the actor Henry Cavill (The Tudors; Immortals) will do with the role. Jet-black hair, check; chiseled jaw line, check; superhero stature, check; draping red cape flapping and barely grazing a glacier, big check.

I’m also hoping the film will delve even deeper into the internal turmoil of a fish (or future superhero) out of water. With Christopher Nolan (the recent Batman/The Dark Knight trilogy) contributing to the story, chances are that hope will be fulfilled. Diane Lane and Kevin Costner play young Clark’s adoptive parents; Amy Adams, as Lois Lane, also co-stars, which can never ever be a bad thing.

Man of Steel is scheduled to be released in June. BSo
