Collabo Pharaoh Pharrell Teams Up with Nile Rodgers on Daft Punk's “Get Lucky”
As established in the previous post, mega-producer Pharrell Williams loves a good collaboration. Throw in a bit of the ‘70s and '80s in the form of the guitarist and (Madonna's Like A Virgin) producer, Nile Rodgers, plus two heaping handfuls of Electro-Robo-Pop in the form of Daft Punk, and you have Get Lucky. Does Get Lucky sound a little like Sister Sledge’s He’s the Greatest Dancer? If you think so, you’re on to something. Rodgers, of course, from the legendary ‘70s Soul-Disco-Pop band, Chic (Good Times; Le Freak; I Want Your Love) produced He’s the Greatest Dancer for the sisters Sledge.
