This week’s posts will honor the Princess of Pop, Kylie Minogue. It was seven years ago this week
that a then 36-year-old Kylie was diagnosed with breast cancer,
just shortly after launching her Showgirl Greatest Hits Tour. A concert DVD was filmed at Earls Court Arena in
London some 11 days prior to the shocking news. Although difficult to think that Kylie
is performing here pre-diagnosis, it’s her blue iconic Las Vegas-inspired
showgirl outfit in the first section of the show, as well as the coy glances,
on which I try to focus. Enjoy Giving You Up, which was her new song at the time, and watch Kylie
own her confident strut on the stage catwalk.
