Paolo Nutini: New Shoes

This song came up on my Shuffle this evening as I was heading home on the bus. The first verse from this 2007 song by Paolo Nutini kind of summed up my Tuesday. Don’t you love when a song comes out of nowhere at just the right time when you need it? I’ve always appreciated Paolo’s unexpected ‘70s AM-radio voice (in a good way) and the acoustic-guitar line that runs throughout. The video is also playfully light, definitely literal, but any song with the lyric: “… slowly strolling in the sweet sunshine” can certainly get your feet tapping... even on the bus. BSo
