Immediately loved the new Bruno Mars single, Locked Out of Heaven when I heard it earlier this week. His vocal, as
well as the guitar and bass lines on this groovy little pop-rock single are a
tad reminiscent of Spirits in the Material World by The Police. Never a bad thing to sound like The
Police, Locked Out of Heaven is
still all Bruno, especially his clear, distinct vocal delivery. The single has
a great modern/’80s-inspired synthesizer build as it crescendos into the
chorus, only to return back to the slower “Police-inspired” guitar and bass
lines in the verses. Now this is a leadoff single! Bruno’s new release, Unorthodox
Jukebox is available December 11.
