Like a song that could’ve been played during the high-school dance scene in Sixteen Candles, Fitz and The Tantrums’ single, Out of My League has that “some kind of wonderful” ‘80s new-wave sound. Filled with blissful “ooh oohs,” a prevalent tambourine, even double drum beats and synth handclaps, this modern take on a throwback would make a now 45-year-old Samantha dance around her suburban Chicago house. I really hope she married Jake. BSo
