Dose of Minogue: “Breathe”: “Body Language Live” 2003

Sometimes you just need to be reminded to breathe, and this song always lends a little bit of encouragement. With lyrics such as, “Oh, I’m sorting everything inside” and “I making my way through the muddy minutes,” Kylie reminds us that regardless of what’s making us feel tense, we all need to hear: “Breathe/Breathe/It won’t be long now/Breathe.” This 2003 live performance, filmed at the London Apollo for the release of her Body Language CD, shows Kylie as Bardot in corseted Pucci, slowly but surely putting one step in front of the other. These are certainly words and visuals by which to live, as we end a fast-moving week and start an all-too-short weekend. BSo
