On Monday’s episode of LOGO’s Rupaul’s Drag Race: The Search for America’s Next Drag Superstar, Gwen Guthrie’s Ain’t Nothing Goin’ On But The Rent was featured during the final segment. Although wonderfully camp with its tongue in its cheek, the show always has a legit knack for choosing pop/disco/soul (gay-anthem) classics to which the week’s two remaining drag queens must “lip sync for your life” in order to see who gets to “shanté you stay” in the competition. This week’s anthem, Guthrie’s ‘80s ode to “no romance without finance.” BSo
